Excellent Online Video Guitar Lessons

I believe that the best method to learn to play the guitar is from an actual live instructor. That's mainly because you have someone there to ask questions to, and you also have someone that can watch you play. Having someone watch your technique can prove to be invaluable. Some of the problems that you may not even realize you have will be very noticeable to a competent teacher.

I recommend Learn & Master Guitar as a home study option (with online services too) because it is a fantastic program. It's a well-polished, very professionally designed course that is second to none, period.

However, some individuals may want to have video lessons available as an online option. It's obviously a great way to learn also. I've just completed an agreement with JamPlay to offer their incredible video guitar lessons.

If you're not yet familiar with JamPlay, they too offer extremely professional, excellent quality guitar lessons. The lessons however, are offered in an online streaming, high-definition format versus the hard-copy method chosen by the creators of Learn & Master Guitar. The lessons are taught by top players, and are very easy to follow.

Here are some of the member benefits:

  • An average of 41 minutes per lesson in high definition video streaming.
  • Complete access to all the lessons in JamPlay's database, beginner-advanced.
  • Ability to print the full lessons and topics for later review.
  • Ability to ask questions directly to the instructors concerning any problem(s) that you may have
  • A complete, printable chord library to keep for your reference

Also, you're able to choose the instructor and type of lesson that you want, and at what level.

One very unique feature that JamPlay offers that I haven't seen, and I doubt that you'll find from any service of this type, is the ability to email a song that you want to learn, and the instructor(s) will do their best to learn the song, and then teach it to you. That's pretty incredidule, talk about customer service!!

JamPlay doesn't assume any knowledge on the part of the student, and beginners are very welcome. The lessons begin with tuning your guitar, and the basic setup to get you started playing.

If you've decided that you want high-definition, streaming video guitar lessons, than I really wouldn't consider any service other than JamPlay.

Comparision -

If you know that you want to access your lessons online, then obviously JamPlay is your choice. Both courses offer high definition videos, but you actually have the DVDs (and CDs) in-hand with Learn & Master Guitar.

Learn & Master Guitar does require more of an expense initially, but, and this could be a big difference, JamPlay is a membership service, so you'll be paying a monthly fee. Of course if you practice daily and are a quick learner, you can do a whole lot in a month.
