Free Guitar Lessons
With the trying financial times we can all use something for free. There are some great free online guitar lessons, as well as guitar lesson videos and other useful information around the Internet.
Although I promote a couple of very good quality guitar instructional programs here, and I stand behind them because they are excellent methods to learn the guitar, there are also many free offers on the Internet that can help the aspiring guitarist greatly.
Probably most have done searches for 'free guitar lessons', or some related search before. If you haven't, well, one of the results that you will see if/when you do is for About.com's site.
The site is authored by and is of very good quality, not just for free guitar lessons, but for guitar lessons in general. Dan Cross is the About.com Guide to Guitar, and he is obviously very knowledgeable, being a professional player in his own right. He provides good, insightful, useful lessons that will keep the student learning for some time to come.
With sections also covering such topics as selecting an instrument and guitar maintenance, the guitar enthusiast is sure to find much information to keep them interested and learning.
There is also information on learing to read guitar tablature, and also tablature for songs to learn as you progress. I would highly recommend Mr. Cross' site to anyone wishing to learn this fantastic, fun instrument.
