Hamer has been manufacturing custom hand-built guitars in Chicago beginning in 1974. If you've ever played, or even held a Hamer guitar, you can see and feel the quality. Looks and the feel aren't the only important things to look for in a quality instrument however, and Hamer has a sound to equal their quality guitars. Obviously the looks are the first thing you notice when shopping for a guitar, and Hamer spends a full three weeks just on the finish of each guitar. I think that says a lot about what their manufacturing philosopy is...build the best...period!
