Hughes and Kettner was founded in 1984 in Neunkirchen, and is a German manufacturer of Guitar and Bass amplifiers, speaker cabinets and effects processors. The company is known for putting out very high quality equipment, and they are said to test all the vacuum tubes used in their amps extensively, at well above their rated operating capacity.
Their amps are noted particularly for their clean channel.
