Yamama guitars are manufactured by the Yamaha Corporation, a huge Japanese multinational corporation and conglomerate.
Yamaha is well known and respected in the area of musical instruments, electronics, motorcycles and power sports equipment. They are also active in other products and services.
Yamaha was established in 1887 when they began producing piano and reed organs. Their beginnings in the music industry is reflected in their logo to this day - the image of three interlocked tuning forks.
Yamaha produces musical instruments of all nearly varieties - percussion, brass, strings, etc. They are, in fact, the world's largest producer of musical instruments, and their long line of guitars, including electric, acoustic and classical guitars have long been well received. They are mass-produced, reasonably priced, and of very good (consumer) quality.
Yamaha has a huge number of guitar models in their long history, with many Signature Models from great players like Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, the legendary player, John Patitucci, also a well known bass player and American jazz guitarist Mike Stern, that worked extensively with the amazing Miles Davis.
